About Me

 

I am a second grade teacher in Central Illinois.  This is my 19th year of teaching.  I started my career in San Antonio, Texas teaching 5th grade.  I moved back to my hometown to be closer to family.  I got a job in a nearby town as a reading specialist/coach/interventionist.  When my job was eliminated 2 years ago due to budget cuts, I was given the opportunity to go back to the classroom and teach second grade.  I felt like a first year teacher again!  The past two years have been a ride in second grade.  I couldn't have done it without the loving support of my family!  I have 10-year-old twins, a Labrador Retriever, and a husband I absolutely love.
